Strong suicidal feelings need urgent attention. If you are in crisis, call 999 or visit your local A&E department. Organisations, charities and helplines offering immediate support include; sane.org.uk, giveusashout.org, and themix.org.uk

If you are in work.

If you are in work check if your employer provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for its staff. Through this route you can access free short-term counselling. EAP's are separate organisations, independent to your employer and operate confidentially. Alternatively, your GP can refer you for short term CBT counselling via IAPT in your area.

For general health and well-being support in your area.

For the West Yorkshire area the website Treacle.me signpost you to a range of support, including making friends, helping with money problems, health and well-being services, and family issues. Your GP may also have a social prescribing service which can but you in touch with local support services.

To support physical well-being and the local community.

Check out your local Parkrun , you don’t have to run you can either walk the route or volunteer.

It’s a 5km run or walk every Saturday they also hold a Junior Parkrun a 2km event every Sunday for 4-14 year olds.
